Alexander Naughton is a Naarm/Melbourne-based director and five-time Australian Cinematographers Society Gold Award-winning cinematographer. His work also received the 2025 ACS National Award of Distinction.

Working across feature films, short-form narrative and commercial storytelling, Alexander has created work for Gucci, M&Ms, Specsavers, Movember, Cadbury, Corona and the Victorian Government.

He served as Director of Photography on Yesterday Island (2025), one of four finalists for the $100,000 CinefestOZ 2026 Film Prize. The film also screened at the Sydney Film Festival and was selected for MIFF 2026, which described it as "a small-budget but exceptionally shot achievement in inventive worldbuilding." His feature work has screened at Warsaw Film Festival, won the Comedy Vanguard Audience Award at Austin Film Festival, received the Critics’ Award and a White Raven Special Mention at BIFFF, and earned an International Narrative Competition Honourable Mention at Cleveland. His short-film work has screened at Slamdance, Athens International Film + Video Festival, Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival and on the opening night of St Kilda Film Festival 2026.
